Mr Dittrich will be replacing former Board Director for the ACIITC, Patricia Sparrow. Ms Sparrow is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACSA.

Independent Chair, Dr George Margelis, says, “I would like to thank Patricia Sparrow for her commitment and involvement in the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council as a Board Member over many years and the Board looks forward to continuing working with ASCA’s newly appointed representative Derek Dittrich.”

Mr Dittrich is the current ACSA State Manager for South Australia and Northern Territory, and is also the National Senior Manager Strategic Policy.

His official appointment commenced on 3 March when attending the ITAC 2020 Conference in Brisbane.

Industry peak bodies, Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) and ACSA, formed the ACIITC in 2007 to provide one voice on issues of technology and innovation in the aged care industry, and have a vehicle to drive on technology and innovation opportunities.
