The representative body consists of aged care providers, consumer groups, unions, and health professionals, who are working together to create a positive aged care future in Australia.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meaningful Ageing Australia, Ilsa Hampton, is delighted to be granted membership to the National Aged Care Alliance.

“As a leading industry voice over the past twenty years, NACA is a critically important cooperative at a time of significant stress and opportunity for aged care. As a Member of the Alliance, we are able to offer a positive and unique contribution to the collective effort,” says Ms Hampton.

“Meaningful Ageing Australia’s campaigns have built in opportunities for people to connect with themselves and others, which gives us particular insight for the NACA consumer constituency.

“Our major work with an ever-expanding number of service providers on integrated, holistic care means we are also able to bring our perspective to the service provider stream of the Alliance.

“Our advocacy for whole-of-person care has always included collaboration with others who are passionate about full quality of life for older people. This is a great next step for our work in this area.”

NACA has been instrumental in developing aged care reform, establishing parliamentary consultations and contributed to the creation of the current Aged Care Quality Standards.

Meaningful Ageing Australia believes this is a great step forward for the organisation to further provide evidence-based practical resources to aged care providers about understanding the spiritual needs of older people.
